We are excited to share that we have partnered with Respect Group to provide our parents with the “Respect in Sport for Parents” course! 

The Respect in Sport Parent Program will help define a standard of behavior for all parents and create a more rewarding, safe, and respectful environment for everyone involved.  This course will provide parents with the tools to create and maintain a Safe Sport environment.  Many sport organizations are joining forces with Respect Group to help create that standard.

Is there a cost?

HMB is covering the cost of the course for the 2024 season for ONE parent or guardian.  If a second parent or guardian wishes to take the course, the amount of $12 be billed back to you.

How long is the course?

The course is approximately 1 hour and is completed online.  It is MANDATORY for ONE parent or guardian in each family to complete BEFORE May 31^st. 

How do I complete the course?

One you register your child; you will receive a confirmation email with important details about the season.  This email will also include a link to the course – please ensure you complete this at your earliest convenience as it is a requirement.  Once the course in completed, Respect in Sport will issue you an electronic certificate.

I have already taken the course with another sports organization; do I have to take it again?

No!  You can simply upload your current certificate number into our database.  Following the link in your registration confirmation email will guide you on how to do that.
