CMB supports baseball in Mexico

Chebucto Minor Baseball helping an underprivileged Mexican town. 

Mike and Gwen Cadue of Halifax have a winter house in Mexico near a village called Chemuyil.  It is on the Mayan Riviera near Playa del Carmen.  Baseball in this area of Mexico is more popular than soccer and they have minor teams in the village.  What they don’t have is a lot of money so Mike asked Sandy Stackhouse if Chebucto could donate some uniforms and other gear.  Sandy brought full sets of uniforms from Chebucto and balls.  An official presentation was made at the end of March up in the town.  Local political officials etc came out as well as many towns’ people.  

There were speeches and music it was really neat.  Mike told them we hoped to make this a yearly affair.
